Know1edge

Sir Sway:  I came across Know1edge about 2 years ago on Karmaloop.  What caught my attention were their fedoras because they added several unconventional features.  Now, know1edge has grown rapidly and have recently came out with some great gear, including of course hats.  Here are some of my favourites from their newest lookbook

Runaway

Mr. Mobile: It's Kanye's newest short film, featuring a few new tracks off his new album. It also features Selita Ebanks and some really sick fashion.

Stan Smith 80s Mids by Adidas

Sir Sway:  These are the new "indigo" stan smith mids by adidas. I wouldn't call them indigo but I do love the two different textures of blue. And I must admit my heart grew two sizes bigger when I saw the gum sole. These shoes have been around since 1971, and were actually originally a tennis shoe... designed by a tennis champ named Stan Smith... astonishing.  These shoes have progressed into three different styles over the past 40 years.  Primarily they were and still are made for tennis.  They also have a much nicer stan smiths (stan smiths II, which were release in the 21st century) made for more lavish occasions.  Lastly they have the stan smiths which you see people wearing as beaters (shoes that you can beat up) or everyday shoes.  These prestigious sneakers have been a big influence on the shoe game today.

Complete Technique

Sir Sway: Born in Japan, Osamu Koyama, moved to New York where he started taking jewellery crafting classes.  He was hooked.  After combining his love for music and his love for jewellery making, Osa, realized this is what he wanted to do.  Complete Technique is still a relatively young and developing company but because of this, each piece is handcrafted with total care and perfection.  Complete Technique also does little figurines which are actually quite cool. These mini sculptures are very different from what people are used to seeing so have a look.  Also, recently Osa has agreed to design a necklace in dedication to the site, so keep your eyes peeled for the release date.

I Love Yorkville

Mr. Mobile: These are just a few pics I snapped while shopping in Yorkville

It's one of my favorite neighborhoods in Toronto, and if you don't know it I suggest you go visit immediately.

Banksy at it Again

Sir Sway: After the resent post about street art, I thought this would be in order.

Outlier

Sir Sway: Breaking away from tradition, Outlier manufactures clothing with one thing in mind, biking. However, this unconventional clothing company whose philosophy is biking, doesn't make those bright red and orange skin tight nylon jumpsuits.  Instead, Outlier makes everyday clothing biking accessible by adding little details most companies would neglect to think about.  Abe and Tyler - the founders - do tests and experiments every season to keep their line up-to-date and to make them more bike friendly.  If you are in New York and have some free time I suggest checkin' out the store.
